Falling Numbers

Cash bid for spring and winter wheat is based on a minimum of 300 falling numbers.  Wheat containing 275-299 falling numbers -$.25 a bushel discount.  Feed wheat - less than 275 falling numbers or over 2% damage ex: sprout, frost and scab.    Falling numbers will be determined by a producer's daily composite and sent to either North Dakota Grain Inspection or Jamestown Grain Inspection.  Watch this video for more info.

Southwest Grain only receipts wheat of 14.0% moisture or less.

Elgin will not be cleaning spring wheat.

Beginning Monday February 2, 2015 delayed pricing will be available at all locations (except Lemmon & Elgin) for spring and winter wheat at $.04/bu/month (300 falling number or better) priced by May 31, 2015. 

Lemmon Terminal:  Grain deliveries will not be accepted on Tuesday, March 3rd.  The electricity will be shut down for the construction project and offices will close at 2:00pm.  Currently taking pre-tested spring wheat as cash or on contract.  Call ahead for all other commodities. Delayed pricing is not available. (2/27/2015)

The Boyle Terminal. Full of spring and winter wheat.    Must be in line by 4:00 pm.  Each load will be checked for falling numbers before unloading.  If you know you have falling numbers under 274 and don't want to wait for a sample to be run pick up the phone for pit assignment.  Hours are 7:00AM to 5:00PM.   (2/27/2015)

 The Dickinson Durum Terminal has room for all grades of durum.  Milling quality must be 300 falling numbers or better.  Each load will be checked for falling numbers.  No durum cleanout will be accepted.  Delayed pricing is available.  Hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM.  Closed Saturday and Sunday.  (2/27/2015)

Our Cash Bids will be updated no earlier than 2:30 PM Mountain Time Monday-Friday and may not always reflect the futures market change. There is about a 10 min delay for the futures price to update and we have no control over that feed.
